Q: I don’t know who I should see, where do you suggest I start?
Sometimes, it can be hard knowing where to start. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed or not sure which practitioner to see, please give our highly experienced administration team a call. They will be happy to gently guide you through the different options we have available so you can choose the path that is most suitable for you, with clarity and ease.
Q: Will I get a treatment plan during my first visit?
Absolutely! Your practitioner will work very closely with you to develop a personalised treatment plan that will suit your specific needs and lifestyle. This will be printed out for you so you can take this home and conveniently refer back to it when needed. This is also useful to help track your progress.
Q: How many appointments will I need?
We believe no two clients or healing transformations are the same. Our health journey is as unique as a fingerprint. So treatment times do vary from person to person. But, at Beyond Good Health, we are determined to help you get better, faster! We do this by addressing the root cause of illness and dis-ease, rather than simply concealing symptoms.
Q: Can I claim my visits on Medicare?
Yes! Medicare rebates are available for Dr Dan, our integrative and functional medicine GP. Rebates do vary depending on the length of your appointment and if you have reached your Medicare threshold. For more information, please do not hesitate to speak to one of our friendly staff members who will happily provide more information specific to your consultation. After your consultation, we can conveniently process your Medicare rebate for you on the spot. Please bring your Medicare card and a Cheque or Savings bank card (rebates cannot be returned to a credit card).
Q: What is the Medicare threshold?
Medicare Safety Nets have thresholds. When you spend certain amounts in gap and out of pocket costs, you’ll reach the thresholds. Once you’ve reached the thresholds, you’ll start getting higher Medicare benefits. This means you’ll get more money back from Medicare for certain services.
Q: Will I get an email or SMS reminder for my appointment?
We understand how busy life can be. Therefore, you will receive a friendly text message reminder 24-48 hours prior to your appointment.
Q: What should I do if I am unable to attend my appointment?
Every now and then, unexpected events happen. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please call the team at your earliest convenience on 07 5522 8902. Cancelling your appointment with sufficient notice will allow us to offer the appointment to another client in need. If you call outside of business hours, please do leave your name and a brief message. We’ll be sure to action this on our next working day. Alternatively, please email the team on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: Will I get charged for cancelling an appointment?
In the event you are unable to attend your appointment, please call the team at your earliest convenience on 07 5522 8902. Cancelling your appointment with sufficient notice allows us to help other people in need. A 50% cancellation penalty fee will be charged if an appointment is not attended and not cancelled with appropriate notice. If you call outside of business hours, please do leave your name and a brief message. Alternatively, please email the team on email@example.com. We’ll be sure to action this on our next working day.
Q: Do you offer phone consultations?
We sure do. Whilst our clinics are located in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast, we have many interstate and international clients. Our doctor and practitioners offer telephone and online consultations. Allowing you to access highly skilled practitioners from anywhere in the world.
Q: Are you a bulk billing clinic?
Due to the very comprehensive and personalised nature of our consultations, we do not offer bulk billing. However, Medicare rebates are available when consulting with one of our holistic, integrative medical doctors.
Q: Can I get my prescribed medicine or supplements from your clinics?
You sure can! Beyond Good Health specialises in holistic, integrative medicine. Combining the best of both Eastern and Western medicine. Medical prescriptions can be obtained during a consultation our medical doctor.
Supplements are available for purchase from our Gold Coast clinic. If you’re not nearby, we do ship Australia wide and internationally. Many of our supplements are high quality, therapeutic, ‘practitioner-only’ products which does mean you are required to consult with a practitioner before purchasing these items. This is to ensure you are receiving the best possible treatment without any contraindications.
Q: How can I reorder my supplements?
Supplements can be purchased from our Gold Coast clinic Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 4.00pm. You’re most welcome to pop on in and say hi! Alternatively, you may wish to call the team on 07 5522 8902 or email your order to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: How long does it take to receive my order?
Times do vary, however, we endeavour to get your order to you as soon as possible. Local orders are generally received within 24-48 hours. However, some of our products are personalised and made especially for you, therefore may take extra time. Occasionally, products may be out of stock. To avoid disappointment, we do suggest you place your subsequent orders at least one week in advance. Please allow 3-5 business days for rural/interstate orders. Our friendly reception team will be happy to provide an estimated time of arrival.
Q: I live in the area, can I drop in to buy products?
We would love you to pop in and say hi! Our Gold Coast clinic is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm. You’re more than welcome to call ahead of time so we can have your order conveniently ready and waiting for you. Or drop in and check out our huge range of products and therapeutic supplements.
Q: Are you an environmental friendly clinic?
At BGH, we’re passionate about health and the environment! Wherever possible, we aim to reduce our environmental foot print! We use environmentally friendly cleaning products, recyclable drinking cups made of corn and we absolutely love it when you bring your own re-useable bag from home. But if you happen to forget, not to worry, we use biodegradable shopping bags.
Q: Do you open on the weekend?
Unfortunately not, but we offer phone consultations from Monday to Friday.
Q: Do you have free parking?
Yes! Parking is free at both our Ashgrove and Robina clinics. For directions and parking information, please click here.
Q: What should I do if I’m running late for my appointment?
First of all, do not stress! We understand these things happen. If you’re not driving and you can safely call, please give the team a buzz on 07 5522 8902. Otherwise, we’ll see you when you get here. Safety first!
