What is Reiki and how does it work?
Reiki is an ancient healing technique that helps promote balance and inner peace at a deep level.
Wherever there’s energetic or emotional imbalance, this can affect the body at a physical level and around any blockages.
So the emotional blockages we experience at a physical level are essentially the body’s protective action, and sometimes we don’t know how to let go of that protection and it may manifest as pain, tension, anxiety and general discomfort.
This is where Reiki helps to clear the mind and body to enhance deep relaxation where peace and clarity enables the gentle process of letting go.
By raising the vibrational energy field in and around the physical body where negative thoughts and feelings can become attached, Reiki helps clear energy pathways that enable the return of natural flow.
This is achieved by laying hands in a series of positions gently on and over the body, which will help to move any emotional blockages and clear stress and anxiety towards balance and wholeness.
How Does a Reiki session work?
Our Reiki sessions generally go for 90 minutes, where during this time will you will lay on the bed for approximately 60 minutes, and our Reiki practitioner, Julie proceeds to lay hands gently on and over the body.
During the session you may feel heat radiating in some areas and you may experience the release of an emotional blockage.
You’re in a safe healing space, so if you feel tears or any other rising emotions it’s okay to let them flow.
